Lux Mea Spring Concert: Songs of Renewal

A few weeks ago, I sang in Lux Mea's 5th annual spring concert, entitled Songs of Renewal. This time, we actually did two concerts--one on Saturday, May 17th, and one on Sunday, May 18th.

At this concert, I was part of a small ensemble that sang Domine Dominus Noster by Lucrezia Vizzana (1590-1662). We had to put in some extra work together outside of our regular rehearsals, but it really paid off, and I'm proud of how it came together!

The entire concert is linked above. Domine Dominus Noster begins at 28:57. I also had a small solo group role in the opening song, Fire by Katrina Gimon (starting at 0:37). During Itken Pois by Anna-Mari Kähärä, I hit one of the lowest notes in my range, a low D (typically out of range for altos!). It's around 12:58, and it's kind of hard to hear because only two of us in the whole choir were able to sing that low, but I promise it's there!
